Why Join Our Team?

Neighborhood Painting is a business committed to excellence, and we’d love you to be a part of it. We strive to complete every job with superior quality over our competitors by using unique practices that get the job done right every time.

Our owner, Ryan Toelkes, was born and raised right here in Kansas City. As a locally owned and operated business, we’re passionate about serving the area and ensuring each customer knows they’re a part of our success.

Whether a client needs exterior painting services, wood rot repairs, siding replacement, deck staining or interior painting for their commercial or residential buildings, we make sure they want to call us for the job. By working with us, you’ll:

  • Join an award-winning team: Over the years, we’ve won nearly a dozen awards for our team’s service around Kansas and Missouri. Some notable recognitions include Angie’s List’s Super Service Award, the Helzberg Entrepreneurial Mentoring Program (HEMP) 2017 Mentoring Class and the 2015 25 Under 25 Award from The Thinking Bigger Business Media Inc.
  • Learn and grow your knowledge base: Constant growth is a key factor in our employees’ career trajectories. You’ll have opportunities to learn new things on the job and test what you know firsthand nearly every day.
  • Gain year-round job security: Neighborhood Painting is one of the few painting and carpentry service providers that never outsource jobs. We don’t work with subcontractors — only the people we hire to our team. With this approach, we can hold every project to our highest standards, and our workers can feel secure that they’ll have a full-time job all year long.
  • Earn competitive pay and benefits: Base pay for our positions ranges from $16-$22 and increases if you have prior experience or as you grow within Neighborhood Painting. We provide full-time work for at least 40 hours every week of the year. Weekly pay and overtime are available during our busiest season, between March and November. Advancement opportunities are abundant, so you can move up as you become more experienced in our practices.

The Next Step in Your Professional Painting or Carpentry Career

Without our employees, our business would fail. That’s why we do everything we can to ensure all our team members know how valuable they are to our daily operations. By constantly building on your knowledge and bettering yourself through our comprehensive benefits plan, you’ll be improving yourself and taking our business to the next level at the same time.

Whether you’re joining us as an apprentice with little or no experience, or a skilled worker that’s spent years completing painting and carpentry jobs, you’ll earn our respect from moment one so we can focus on growing your career and doing the home renovation jobs we love.
