Awards and Recognition
Neighborhood Painting Awards & Recognition
We pride ourselves on customer service, craftsman-level work, and being a company of true professionals who never outsource to subcontractors. That commitment to excellence is upheld via the awards and recognition we’ve received from leading authorities across the United States based on our small business success, including:
Helzberg Entrepreneurial Mentoring Program
The Helzberg Entrepreneurial Mentoring Program (HEMP) was founded by Barnett Helzberg, Jr. in 1995 to match aspiring entrepreneurs with well-seasoned, successful entrepreneurs. HEMP mentors and mentees participate in networking opportunities, trips to local Kansas City businesses, and one-on-one mentor meetings. Ryan Toelkes, the owner of Neighborhood Painting, was chosen to be part of the 2017 Mentoring Class for the program. His strong work ethic and dedicated pursuit of owning and managing his own business made him a worthy candidate for this program. You can read more about HEMP and Ryan’s achievement in the Kansas City Business Journal and the Silicon Prarie News.
Since 2011, Neighborhood Painting, Inc has been a regular winner for the Angie’s List awards for exterior painting, carpentry, and siding. We’ve added to that list as 2016’s awards have been announced, marking the sixth consecutive year that we’ve won this award. Angie’s List is the leading source of consumer services reviews, offering unpaid and honest reviews from homeowners highlighting their experiences with area vendors. This award means a lot to us, and it should mean a lot to you as a consumer. This is proof that you’ll receive the highest level of service and a great product, at a fair price.
25 Under 25
The Thinking Bigger Business Media Inc. gives out the 25 Under 25 Award every year, which highlights businesses like ours that employ 25 or fewer people. But that’s not all…to win this award, a business must display financial stability, a dedication to community service and a commitment to their respective areas of expertise. This is for small businesses that operate with the efficiency of effectiveness of much larger organizations. Basically, you get all the benefits of “big business” without paying the price for national advertising and layers of management. We’re proud of the success we’ve had while still employing a local staff and focusing only on Johnson and Jackson county. Read more about the 25 Under 25 Class of 2015 from Thinking Bigger.
